The Project
Wine cellars, those underground repositories of taste, sophistication, and vintage liquids require
low-profile lighting that is heatless and reliable. To age fine wine, a cellar must maintain constant
temperatures and humidity.
Incandescent bulbs generate heat, and CFLs take minutes to reach full brightness; both technologies
leak unnecessary light that can further damage delicate wine flavors and aromas. The lighting solution
for wine cellar owners everywhere are solid state LEDs with zero light leakage and no heat emission.
LED*Waves' Involvement
LED*Waves, working with designer VinoTex Wine Cellars, provided this homeowner with warm white
Broadway LED Light Bars
that uncork fountains of lumens throughout the cavernous cellar. Cascading onto translucent bottles are bouquets of
beams: lustrous enough for general illumination, refined enough to not disrupt wine chemistry.
Front and center, the homeowner chose a mini High
Power LED 1-Watt Recess Light to showcase the cellar’s marble counter with clarity and smoothness. When a bottle
is selected, the wine’s true color sparkles like crystals under the light’s 50 lumens of brightness.
