University of Pacific
Northern California
The Project
University of the Pacific's lush main campus, featured in the film Raiders of the Lost Ark, fuses Ivy League-esque towers and brick-faced facades with Cali-style rose gardens and cloudless skies. Established in 1851, Pacific - as students and faculty affectionately call their college - recently unveiled its List of Endowment Donors, stately illuminated with our LED light bars.
The elegant installation was engineered, fabricated and installed by Rapid Displays, based in Union City, California. Here's what they said about our LED lights:
The effect is just what [the University] wanted. During bright daylight it looks pretty good, in the evening it works very well. Our customer is very happy.
Thanks for all your help.
LED*Waves' Involvement
LED*Waves, working with lighting designer Rapid Displays, provided University of the Pacific with white Broadway LED Light Bars that creates a molten glow behind The Donor List's horizontal black frame. The lava-like effect is like perusing etched names on glass tiles that are buttressed by a black picket fence, a transparent tableau illuminated in LED.
Crowning the display is the University's Seal, a large acrylic circle majestically refracted from below by LED*Waves' light bars, a grand effect for a hallowed institution.
Pacific Powercats have never seen their school's Orange and Black so superbly showcased! Glow Powercats glow!
