Legacy Meridian Park Hospital
Tualatin, OR
The Project
Legacy Meridian Park Hospital, an acute care hospital in Tualatin, Oregon, has a mission of healing the sick, treating the injured, and trying to help everyone else stay healthy. However, a high-traffic hospital stairway, until recently, was a poorly lit liability – with murky steps that blended in a shadowy mess like a Venus fly-trap awaiting ailing prey.
To facilitate patient and worker well-being, LED*Waves shipped to the hospital, stat, bright and focused LED PAR-38 light bulbs. The stairwell is now cured of its dim-itis!
Here's what the hospital said about our LED lights:
These fixtures are approximately 20 feet, [and were] a pain and danger to maintain. Previous light output on the landing made it hard for people to identify the first/last steps causing tripping hazards.
We are very pleased with the [new LED light] output throughout the stairwell, especially the landing. Now we have great lighting and peace of mind of not having to replace lamps nearly as often as before.
Established in 1973, Legacy Meridian Park's facilities include a cancer center, heart catheterization lab, 24-hour emergency room, radiology services, and interventional cardiology department, as well as an on-grounds heliport for emergency transport.
LED*Waves' Involvement
LED*Waves provided Legacy Meridian Park Hospital with cool white LED PAR-38 bulbs that powerfully and evenly spread LED beams onto ascending and descending steppers. Legacy Meridian Park's newest (and BRIGHTEST) staff members now hover twenty feet above safer steps, treating patients with long-term, efficient care that only low-energy LEDs can provide.
LED*Waves: Warding off accidents and saving the world, one bulb at a time!
