Saving the earth is as easy as saving money. High efficiency lighting uses less energy than normal lighting, so it reduces the carbon footprint of a given building or edifice and thereby saves the ratepayer money. From partners in sustainability to builders and businessmen looking to save their company money, everyone is looking high and low for high efficiency lighting. The problem is that many people don’t know that what is normally perceived as high efficiency lighting is only considered such in comparison to the outdated incandescent light. When compared to LED high efficiency lighting, many traditional high efficiency lighting fixtures pale in comparison.
The most common high efficiency lighting options are the fluorescent T8 and the CFL (compact fluorescent bulb). Their rather low up-front cost and modestly long life make them good introductory high efficiency lighting options. They are, however, not the best of what’s around.
LED high efficiency lighting is constitutively high efficiency lighting, thus there is no differentiation between LED high efficiency lighting and LED lighting that is not high efficiency. This is because the LED is superbly efficient, thus any lighting that using LEDs will become high efficiency lighting in virtue of this. If it isn’t LED high efficiency lighting, it isn’t the best high efficiency lighting!
